"My favourite was the pigs and the races. There were displays of a variety of animals. It was great seeing the future farmers (youngsters) displaying and caring for their animals of which many were auctioned off. There were foods, games, crafts, and cakes for sale. There were crafts for children and two bouncy tents, which the children and parents enjoyed. It gave them a sit-down break from walking around in the heat. There were activities for everyone. The pie and watermelon eating contest. Later in the evening, there was a truck pull contest. Parking was on the grounds, unlike in previous years. As always the Harford County Fair was a hit in my book."
