"This has got to be one of the if not the nicest winery's we have ever visited. It's worth the visit just to see their tasting room and the view from the top of the ridge. Anyway I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised to find this place still does a guided tasting. It seems almost every other winery I go to just does flights and you get to figure out what you're drinking from some write up. The guided tasting consists of 6 wines (3 white / 3 red) that are preselected, which is my only complaint. This winery has an extensive list, but no substitutions are allowed. Although to be fair we were provided 1 or 2 'extras' based on our conversation. From the tasting our favorites was the Dry Reisling and the Pinot Noir although all were very 'drinkable'; meaning not real dry. Anyway I was informed they grow, process, and age all their wine so would be considered an estate winery. This place also has beer available that is brewed in another location, but based on their recipe or mash bill. There were 4 available when we were there and our favorite was the Grisette. The 4 they had available were good and my only complaint would be the lack of any darker varieties. Finally they do have a kitchen here with waitresses to take your order. The menu isn't that large, but does have something for everyone. There's also a lot of indoor/outdoor seating and as mentioned earlier the view is outstanding."
