"Mild weather on a February Saturday prompted us to travel the backroads to Iron Heart Winery and Salty Stash Distillery. The building seemed lonely as we pulled into the parking lot and we wondered if it was open. It was 12:15, they opened at 12:00. Entering we were greeted by the owner and he enthusiastically showed us his handiwork in remodeling the interior into a cozy tasting room for wine, spirits, and some retail. Three floors of space to enjoy the fruits of the vine. We are not wine drinkers but we left with a bottle of our favorite from our tasting. We stayed about an hour and watched a steady flow of people come in. Couples and families filled the room with joy. What a nice place. Bring your own food. And look for the Iron Heart trailer at local festivals like Wilderness Trail."
